Questions about receiving fill.

Clear answers about availability, privacy, material, approvals and delivery safety.

Is FillMatch free for property owners?

Yes. Receiver registration is free. Registration does not guarantee that suitable fill will become available.

Is delivery guaranteed?

No. Availability, material, distance, vehicle type and timing all vary.

Can I request screened garden topsoil?

FillMatch mainly coordinates natural clay and clean excavated material. Natural clay must not be treated as screened garden topsoil.

Who approves each delivery?

The receiver reviews and accepts or rejects every company request before exact access information is released.

Is my full address public?

No. Approved companies see the suburb and a deliberately offset map point. Exact details are disclosed only after acceptance.

Do I need council approval?

You are responsible for determining whether resource consent, building consent or another approval is required. Seek Auckland Council or professional advice.

What photos are required?

The registration asks for the entrance, driveway or access route, tipping location and a wider site view.

Can a driver refuse delivery?

Yes. A driver may refuse entry or tipping whenever conditions appear unsafe or differ from the agreed information.

Can fill arrive over several days?

Yes, when the receiver and company agree to partial or multi-week deliveries.

Does FillMatch certify soil?

No. FillMatch is an information-matching platform and does not provide laboratory testing, engineering advice or material certification.
